Working in our Customer Services Team, our Customer Service Advisors are the first point of contact for our customers.

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Location: Preston, Lancashire

Salary: Competitive

You’ll be responsible for supporting our customers on the phone, by email or through our social media channels; helping them with a range of issues relating to their energy supply.

Key responsibilities

  • Responding to customer contact across a range of channels – phone, email and social media.
  • Achieving service targets set to help us achieve the best possible levels of service to our customers.
  • Identifying customer needs and offer the most appropriate product or service to address them.
  • Maintaining broad knowledge of products, pricing, promotions, and procedures
  • Greeting customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Talking customers through their accounts and take accurate notes to ensure updates are correctly recorded.

About you

We’re looking for a strong communicator, who is willing to learn, has a keen eye for detail and who has good levels of computer literacy. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, so you’ll need to be able to multi-task, adapt to change and be driven to help us achieve our service goals.

In addition, there are some desirable (but not essential) skills and experiences:

  • Six months of utility experience would be advantageous, however training is provided.
  • Experience of Junifer CIS would be advantageous, however training is provided.
