When you first apply to join Gulf Gas & Power UK, we'll ask for information on how much energy you use. Once we know how much energy you're likely to use, we work out the cost of this energy and split it into 12 monthly payments.
The amount of energy you use each month will change based on what time of year it is; in the Summer months you'll use less energy than in the Winter months. Because of this, you may build up credit on your account in the Summer and debt on your account in the Winter. Over the course of the year, however, your account should balance.
At least once each year, we'll review your account to make sure your Direct Debit payments are adequate for the amount of energy you are using. If we see you are paying too much or too little, we'll adjust your Direct Debit accordingly. We'll always let you know before any changes are made to your payments.
